i expect he probably has, BUT if we're buying anyone for north of 25 million quid, they need to basically be man of the match almost every time they play for us, and they need to play at least 35 games a season.

I don't think we could rely on Zaha to do that.

Other clubs who would be interested for that money could rotate, rest or drop him, and certainly wouldn't have the same level of reliance or expectation that we'd have. They could also afford to write him off somewhat if he flopped again. There's no way we could do that.

I'm not saying he's not a good player, but he'd have to be consistently excellent week in week out with no room to hide for a club like West Ham, and I'm not sure he's capable.

V also reckons he eyed up Payet years ago, yet his transfer to us goes completely against all his principles (old, expensive, long contract, etc).

I'd love to be in V's head for a day.

One of my top targets for us over the last couple of Summers. Too late now.

hahahahahahahahahahaha

That is absolutely magnificent. 5 years ago, Palace were skint, he was available for £2.5 million and you slaughtered me for saying we should get him. A year later when they were back on an even keel they got £20 million from man utd. Magically he's now your top target. Codswallop.

He'll move in the summer but won't go from one bang average club to another.

Can see him turning up at Everton, even the Mourning Mickeys might fancy him.

Re: Wilfried Zaha
Am sure he has matured a bit and learnt from Man U
Could see Spurs following up their interest to replace Sissoko who has been a bit of a waste of money.

He would have zero interest in joining us and to be honest I am not totally convinced by him.
What struck me last night is how well that 4-2-3-1 worked vs a big team with lots of energy and commitment
We have the basis of a team to play like that apart from one midfielder and a left side player . And a keeper

New keeper
Byram Reid Ogbonna Cresswell
Obiang NewMid
Antonio Lanzini NewLeft
Carroll or Sahko (if not dead)

Re: Wilfried Zaha
I'd be wary of spending a lot on him given how gash he was for Man U.

he's going to spurs in the summer.

(a) WHU won't meet player's ambitions
(b) £25m won't match club's valuation

0% chance

I think 0%. I think they'll be asking £40m+ if not more.

On his day looks a world beater... and seems to have far more of `his day's now... I reckon the chance of us signing him are about 5%

Very impressed with Palace last night, goes to show what fitness and total commitment can do.

20 goals in 27 Serie A games this year Mertens

Can't see we'd have much chance to be honest

£25M id imagine there is better VALUE elsewhere plus cant see BFS letting he's best player come to us

Re: Wilfried Zaha
So you're watching a game on tv, a player looks good and you start a thread saying we should try to buy him? Are you 12?

He is a good player, but we have abso no chance of getting him. Why would Palace accept a bid from us when no PL clubs need money now, and more so why the fuck would Zaha want to join our shambles?? Isn't that a bit ignorant to think he would?
